Restly® Gray Alcohol Markers, Alcohol Markers, Markers was founded in 2022 with a mission to provide high-quality and affordable alcohol-based markers for artists of all skill levels. Our journey began when our founder, a passionate artist, struggled to find alcohol markers that met their needs – ones with rich, vibrant colors, a range of different tip types, and most importantly an affordable price tag. After testing countless markers on the market, the idea for Restly was born.
At Restly, we believe that art supplies shouldn’t break the bank. That’s why our alcohol markers retail for a fraction of the cost of leading brands, without sacrificing quality. Our markers feature long-lasting, fade-resistant ink made in Germany, and proprietary nibs for superior ink flow and less skipping. The colors have been carefully developed by our team to provide a wide spectrum for blending and shading.
Beyond our markers, Restly aims to support artists through education and community. Our blog provides tips, techniques, and downloadable resources to help artists expand their skills. We also foster connections between artists through social media engagement and contests. At Restly, art isn’t just a hobby – it’s a way of life.
Our Values

Everything we do at Restly goes back to our core values:
Quality
We don’t cut corners. Our alcohol markers are rigorously tested to ensure optimal performance and longevity. From the ink formula to nib engineering, we pay attention to every detail.
Accessibility
Art supplies can be prohibitively expensive. We believe creativity should be accessible to all, which is why our markers are a fraction of the cost of competitors without sacrificing quality.
Community
Art isn’t created in isolation. We aim to create a supportive, inspiring community for artists through educational content, contests, and engagement opportunities.
Sustainability
From our marker packaging to business operations, we’re committed to reducing waste and our environmental footprint. We strive to make ethical and eco-friendly choices.
Our Markers
Our alcohol marker line features over 100 brilliant colors to inspire creativity. Here’s a bit more about our offerings:
Grayscale Markers
Our grayscale marker sets are perfect for practice, comic art, and achieving dimensional shading. They come in cool, warm, and neutral grays ranging from 5% black to 100% black.
Essentials Markers
This all-purpose set has colors for any project. Vibrant primaries make blending a breeze, while neutral earth tones and pastels expand your palette.
Florals & Landscapes Marker Set
Designed for botanical and landscape artists, these markers capture lush greens, punchy florals, rich earth hues, and versatile grays for atmospheric backgrounds.
Portraits Marker Set
From fair to deep complexions, this set’s skin tone range lets you capture diverse subjects. Red-browns, plums, and neutrals sculpt dimensional faces.
Metallic Markers
Add some shine with our gold, silver, and copper metallic markers. They’re perfect for accents, jewelry, holiday crafts and more.
Neon Markers
Eye-popping fluorescence makes these vivid neon markers pop. They’re ideal for ’80s-inspired art, posters, and adding punch to any project.
Our Nibs
Our markers feature dual-ended nibs to suit different artistic needs:
Chisel Nib
The chisel nib creates both thick and thin lines. Its flat edge makes broad strokes, while the pointed tip produces fine detail.
Fine Nib
As the name suggests, this nib creates precise thin to medium lines. It’s ideal for writing, illustration, and technical drawing.
Brush Nib
The brush nib’s tapered edge produces strokes that taper from thick to thin like a paintbrush. Perfect for calligraphy, lettering and organic styles.
Bullet Nib
The bullet nib lays down consistent medium to heavy lines. Its rounded edge is ideal for coloring and comic style looks with no fraying.
Our Ink

We developed our alcohol marker ink in Germany to produce rich, vibrant color laydown that dries quickly. Key features include:
- Fade-resistant pigments stay true without dulling over time
- Specially formulated to minimize bleeding and ghosting on most papers
- Smooth, uniform flow reduces skipping and tip drying out
- Acid-free and non-toxic for safe studio use
- Permanent on porous surfaces like paper, wood, and illustration boards
- Cleans easily from non-porous surfaces like glass and metals
Our Story
Restly was dreamed up in 2022 by a team of artists who were frustrated by the marker options on the market. We’d tested markers from leading brands but always found limitations – too costly, not enough color selection, poor performance. We knew there had to be a better option.
After months of research and development, the Restly alcohol marker system was born. We engineered everything in-house – from the ink formula to marker body design. Manufacturing partners in Germany were carefully vetted for quality and ethical values. Only materials that met our strict specifications made it into production.
We started off small, offering a core selection of colors and nib options. As word spread, Restly grew rapidly thanks to artists like you. Your feedback and support keep pushing us to expand our catalog and improve every formula and process.
Today, Restly markers are used by artists worldwide for illustration, comic art, crafting, calligraphy, and fine art. We’ve built an inclusive community where artists can learn, connect, find inspiration, and share their work. It’s what motivates us to provide quality art supplies accessible to all.
But our work isn’t finished. We’re continually developing new colors, tools, and resources based on the needs of our community. We won’t rest until every artist can create to their full potential.
